Who we are
Oz to Pint is an independent measurement reference and calculator built for people who need quick, reliable volume conversions — home cooks, bartenders, brewers, students, and curious minds.
We focus on one job: helping you move confidently between fluid ounces and pints without second-guessing which pint you are looking at.
Why the two-pint difference matters
A US Customary pint is 16 fluid ounces. An Imperial (UK) pint is 20 fluid ounces. Confusing the two changes a recipe, a pour, or a serving by 25 percent.
That is why the tool always shows both systems side by side, with the formulas printed on the page: US pt = fl oz ÷ 16 and Imperial pt = fl oz ÷ 20.
How we keep conversions accurate
Oz to Pint uses the fixed definitions for US and Imperial volume units referenced by NIST (US) and UK measurement conventions.
The calculator works from unrounded formulas and rounds only the final displayed result to two decimal places. The live glass diagram uses the same calculation path as the numeric readout, so the visual and the number stay in agreement.
Our quick conversion table and blog examples are checked against the same formulas and updated when we correct or clarify an explanation.

What Oz to Pint is not

It converts fluid ounces (volume), not avoirdupois ounces (weight). For commercial, medical, scientific, or safety-critical use, verify results with calibrated instruments and the standards that apply to your field.
